We invite you to a weekend of restoration for your mind, body, and spirit. This is a small group retreat, to support the beauty that is created by community, while still maintaining an intimate and safe space.

Reflective workshop sessions will bring you into a closer relationship with yourself and connect you with all the parts of yourself to deepen your personal understanding. The focus on renewal will highlight what you need to support yourself in ongoing restoration and well-being.

Yoga, meditation, cold-plunging and breathwork will complement the personal reflection, and deepen your ability to connect. Practices cater to all levels, from beginner to advanced.

You’ll be nestled in the beautiful woods of Wisconsin, on the shore of Lake Superior. Our stunning retreat location – Wild Rice Retreat – was named by Conde Nast as one of the 23 Best Places to Go in 2023. The tranquility of this environment will seep into your soul, and leave you feeling cleansed and refreshed. We will have farm-to-table meals that cater to all dietary requirements. In addition, each participant will have an individual room to promote privacy and relaxation in this idyllic setting.

Schedule

Deepen & Renew’s program has been designed to align with the seasonal shift. Hosted at the beginning of the northern mid-western Spring, programming reflects the themes of turning inward – mirroring the hibernation of winter – before shifting into the time for renewal and the emergence of the new – in line with the sacred transition to spring. We will be surrounded by the first peeks of the new growth and the crispness of the Great Lake.

During the midday breaks, there is the option to take the Lakeside Walk into Bayfield to explore, wander around the shores of Lake Superior, or have some personal quiet time in your private room.

We’re just two star-crossed soul sisters whose journeys were bought together by fate. In all seriousness, we hit it off due to our shared obsession with personal growth when we co-facilitated a group for a local Minnesota non-profit, Team Women. We found that our synergy was effortless and our connection immediate. Together, we’re a complementary team, who bring together a holistic approach to well-being. And clearly we have a sense of humor so you’ll have fun.

 

 

Anna Roesner

Anna feels lucky to have found her passion of teaching yoga at the young age of 20. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Dragonfly Hot Yoga in July, 2017, and has been sharing yoga with others ever since since. In March of 2021, Anna completed her 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in Costa Rica with Pranaluz Conscious Living. This fed her insatiable hunger of spirituality, as she dove deep into the ancient roots of yoga, largely focusing on meditation.

Anna currently teaches at Lifetime Fitness’s #1 ranked Yoga program in Edina, MN and will co-lead their Yoga Teacher Training in the fall of 2023 . While not in studio, Anna can be found leading yoga and meditation for retreats. A career highlight was leading SNOWga on a frozen lake for NY Time’s Bestselling Author, Jesse Itzler’s Elite 365 Coaching Group in early 2022.

A yoga/meditation class with Anna is truly a mind, body, spirit experience. It includes high vibrational music, uninterrupted silence for you to connect to yourself, creative sequences that keep you on your toes (or hands), and yogic philosophy to take the practice off your mat with you.

Kate Snowise

Kate is a world-class Executive Coach, Speaker, and Facilitator. With over 20-years of study and professional practice in the field of psychology, Kate merges science and insight, with our deeper human needs for personal fulfillment, love, and authentic expression.

Kate registered as a Psychologist in New Zealand, before moving to the U.S. in 2013 and setting up her private coaching practice, Thrive.How. Since then, she has been recognized as a Top U.S. Executive Coach by Culture Amp and the Coach Federation. Her thoughts on fulfillment, stress, and well-being have been featured in FastCompany, Huff Post, MindBodyGreen, Thrive Global and Tiny Buddha. She is also the host of the personal development podcast, Here to Thrive which to date, has been downloaded more than 1.2 million times.

Her style has been described by previous clients as blending warmth with a no-bullshit approach. She dislikes toxic positivity, and instead advocates for self-knowledge, kindness, and a deeper connection to how we live our lives.

This was exactly what I needed and I didn’t even know I needed it. I walked away with clarity on what I want for my future, a deep connection with like-minded women, and a chance to disconnect and focus on my inner knowing. Kate and Anna created a brave space, and that is hard to create with a bunch of women who don’t know each other over a weekend. Listed as a Top Resort to Reconnect with Nature by Travel & Nature, Wild Rice Retreat is set in a stunning location. Nestled amongst woods on the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield Wisconsin, the space is nothing short of tranquil.

Bayfield WI is a 1-hour and 40-min drive from the closest airport in Duluth, MN. If you rent a car from Duluth, there is plenty of parking onsite at no extra charge.

It is a 4-hour drive from Minneapolis/St Paul, MN. MSP is a major airport hub, and if you are open to ride-sharing, we’re happy to connect retreat participants ahead of time.
