Is the world going to Hell in a Handbasket? I know many people are feeling incredibly uneasy about all that has gone on in the last couple of weeks. This podcast is a dose of something to give you back some focus, and I hope, a little relief from all the craziness.
As we appear to be becoming ever more divided, I want to put a little break in the political hysteria and encourage you to remember three things:
- Our greatest growth typically comes from our greatest pain (I believe this is as true at a collective level as it is on an individual level)
- You are your most powerful when you are centered (it’s time to up the self-care and make sure you do things that make you feel grounded)
- Your emotional energy is only useful when you turn it into action (otherwise it can turn into stress, worry, anxiety and that’s when it eats you up from the inside out).
If we can be conscious about how we are approaching the current political situation, we will come through it feeling less drained and beaten-up, and more empowered and clear. This episode will help you focus and remind you how to come back to what really matters, rather than being distracted by the noise that constantly surrounds us these days.
I mention a TED talk in the episode. It is by Robb Willer – How to have better Political Discussions
The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is an organization that fights for our rights and freedoms through legal avenues. They are the group that had a Court Ruling put in place for Green Card holders after Trumps Immigration Policy release. If you would like to contribute financially, you can donate at www.aclu.org
