I believe that life should be better than ok-ish. I believe that each and every one of us should feel connected, aligned, purposeful and authentically joy-filled. And I believe that feeling deep-down-in-ya-heart happy is something that we can all have … if we just remember how.
These are exactly the reasons I created Thrive.How. I wanted to help as many people as I could wake-up and reconnect with both themselves and their lives.
Because the hard truth is, that most of us are living disconnected lives.
Modern life is insanely chaotic, noisy, demanding and busy … and MOST of us are getting lost in it.
We’re getting completely lost in the doing, like we’re rats running around on rat-wheels. We’re so lost in it in fact that most can’t even recognize that there could be another way to live. We’ve normalized chaos and disconnection.
But it’s no way to live. I believe we should all be living truly Thriving Lives; lives that are connected, balanced and meaningful. And I know I am not the only one that thinks this way.
To give you a little more insight, I picked up the idea that there was a “Good Life” while I was studying my Masters in Psychology. As soon as I was introduced to the growth-oriented end of psychology I was mesmerized. It’s the type of psychology that looks at what is RIGHT with you and has played second fiddle to a clinical-based model of psychology for far too long. It’s now becoming a fairly strong field however and is typically referred to as Positive Psychology.
It’s this type of psychology that I practice in my coaching. It’s about focusing on how to make an average life even better. It looks at normal people and how we can take people who are generally ok-ish with things and turn their lives into flourishing examples of true deep-down-in-ya-gut happiness.
It’s about connecting with your true-self, deepening your self-awareness, living in alignment and reaching your full potential.
It’s about creating a life in which joy and good feelings are the norm, not something to be cherished when they come about every once and awhile.
It’s about learning how to access all the good-stuff life has to offer.
It’s this stuff that I teach in my Thriving Life Project.
Because the truth of the matter is, we only get one life and each and every day it is ticking on by. It’s not something to take for granted, and we should be making the most of every-single-day. Because life is way too short for it to just feel ok-ish.
