FIND A WAY, NOT AN EXCUSE.
It’s often tempting to throw your hands in the air, be pissed at life, and wanna straight up quit pursuing whatever it is you’re after.
Yip..some days life can for real feel TOO HARD.
But you can only rely on you. You giving up
I often spout on to my clients about fostering a “solutions mindset” and tell them that I want them to look for solutions rather than fixate on problems.
It’s a simple shift, but boy is it powerful. But how can
you do that? Here are some tips:
- Catch Yourself Complaining – When we are stuck in a rut it is typically associated with being stuck in the complaining phase of a situation. We’ll often find ourselves saying things like ‘Life Isn’t Fair’ (I know…it’s not, but we can’t stay there) or blaming other people or circumstances for the situations we find ourselves in. The first step to moving forward is RECOGNIZING when you’re complaining.
- Look for What You CAN do, Not for What You Can’t – When we’re making excuses we’re usually stuck in looking at what is not possible. Challenge yourself to believe that some form of action is ALWAYS possible (note: it is. #justsaying). This will likely require you to be creative, and potentially even require you to step outside of your comfort zone. But if you don’t want to move forward because you’d prefer to stay stuck in excuses RATHER than push your comfort zone, then be honest about that.
- Kill Your Potential to Overanalyze – Action is King in this world. You can think about it all you like, but until you DO something, nothing will change. Be courageous and ACT. Do not to overthink things. Analysis Paralysis kills more dreams than anything else. Do something before you can overthink it. Show up and try.
Look for solutions in your own life. Don’t stop at the point of analyzing your problems or frustrations … keep going.
FIND A WAY. Keep going. Keep trying. Keep trucking.
